Obstetrical Ultrasounds
It is our policy at Ob/Gyn Specialists, P.A. to recommend a screening ultrasound for all of our obstetrical patients. Ultrasounds are done by appointment, and should be scheduled between the 18th and 20th week of your pregnancy. Please schedule a specific appointment for your ultrasound so adequate time will be allowed for this test.
We recommend the screening ultrasound because it allows us to accurately confirm your due date, rapidly diagnose twins, and helps us provide reassurance that your pregnancy is thriving.
Since every insurance company has unique benefit packages, we suggest that you check with your insurance carrier for benefit information regarding coverage of routine obstetrical ultrasounds.
