Our Nurse Practitioners are professional registered nurses who have received additional specialized education and clinical training for certification in the Women's Health Care specialty. Just as we work cooperatively with our patients, our physicians and nurse practitioners work together to provide integrated health care.
Nurse practitioners work independently and in cooperation with physicians. In addition, nurse practitioners provide health care education and offer personalized support. We suggest that all pregnant patients meet with a nurse practitioner to discuss prenatal and postpartum care. You can also rely on them for information about menarche, menopause, infertility, nutrition, family planning, and birth control.
Nurse practitioners teach self breast exam procedures and conduct health screenings. Of course, if problems are suspected, you are immediately referred to your physician.
Our phone triage nurses are an integral part of our health care team. These RN's work closely with our physicians and nurse practitioners to answer questions regarding your health care needs and follow-up care.
